Employee Spotlight: Barista Cambrian
Welcome back to our Employee Spotlight Series! Today, we’re talking with one of our new baristas, Cambrian. Read on to find out what it’s like to work at an award-winning specialty coffee roaster.
How long have you worked at BonLife? One month… but I have worked in specialty coffee about a year in total.
Why did you want to work here? BonLife has the best coffee in Bradley County. Plus, they take a lot of care in creating a space that makes amazing coffee accessible to more people.
What do you like about working in coffee? The people! I like seeing others interacting with one another and playing a part in those interactions by providing them with coffee and a space to share it. I also love teaching others about coffee!
Go-to coffee drink? A flat white miel. It tastes amazing and sounds pompous.
Something you have learned from working at BonLife (or in specialty coffee in general)? Coffee shops can be a great place for people in the area to build a community. It’s cool how they provide a third space for human interaction away from screens!
Something you hope to learn more about in the coffee world? I hope to learn and expand my knowledge of different coffee processes and roasting techniques and how those influence the taste of coffees.
Anything else fun about you that you’d like to share with the people? I was on Young Life staff for three years. Outside of work, I love playing music… one time I tried to learn how to juggle… and I love cooking. I also love to tell stories! This one time…
