The 1776 Blend - La Esmerelda & La Palma y El Tucán

$17.76

We’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a bang! A special-release, limited-edition coffee. It’s a blend of two high-end geishas. You won’t believe the flavor profile of this one!

About Hacienda La Esmerelda Special Geishas from their website:

Esmeralda Special Geisha is a collection of high elevation Geisha (+1,950 masl) with cupping scores of over 91 points. Coming from our Jaramillo, Cañas Verdes and El Velo farms, Esmeralda Special Geisha lots are invariably the highest quality Geishas we sell. Though altitude presents challenges for growing and harvesting, it is up in the mountains of Boquete that the unique floral and citrus aromatics of geisha coffee sing brightest.

Each microlot is unique in nature, exceptional in character and thoroughly pleasing to the palate. Classic jasmine, bergamot, stonefruits and berries are some of the singular floral and fruit notes that make up the Esmeralda Special signature taste.

Hacienda La Esmerelda has a cult following, and we were super lucky to score this lot of their special geisha. It’s a highly sought after coffee!

About the La Palma & El Tucán Geisha:

La Palma y El Tucán is a world-famous coffee estate situated in Cundinamarca, Colombia located on the eastern side of the Colombian Andes, two hours away from the capital of Bogota. Producers Felipe Sardi & Elisa María Madriñan grow this Geisha and process it carefully using their proprietary methods: their “bio-innovation” method involves fermenting the whole cherries in clay vessels with selected yeasts before pulping and drying.

This is an extremely small lot of Geisha coffee from La Palma & El Tucán, and it is a beautiful example of this estate’s coffee! We previously submitted one of our roasts of this coffee to be judged for a very high score.
