Our Latest Obsession: The Deep Sea Green Hario V60
We’ve always loved a good brew method at BonLife, so why are we obsessing over this particular V60? And is it just because of the super cool teal green color? Read on to find out!
Okay, yes the Deep Sea Green teal color is one of the major reasons we have heart eyes over this particular Hario V60. It’s just cool, and there’s something special about bringing a fun, bright color into your morning coffee routine. It really helps to brighten up the whole day!
Beyond the aesthetics, we love the practicality of this Hario V60. The durable material (acrylonitrile-styrene resin) makes this pour-over super versatile. Traveling and want an easy brew method to take with you? This one works great! You can toss it into your bag without a second thought! It’s great for camping, road trips, or even international travel.
On the flip side, if you’re using a V60 in a high-volume space (whether it’s a cafe or a home that drinks copious amounts of coffee) this one holds up. It’s easy to wash: a simple rinse is all the resin material really needs to be quickly cleaned. This V60 can hang if you’re brewing countless many pour overs!
Another reason we’re currently obsessing over the Deep Sea Green Hario V60 is the fact that it’s summertime. It’s hot. We want iced coffee. You can read the recipe here; but suffice to say a flash brewed pour over is one of the best ways to cool off on a hot summer day, and the Hario V60 is our favorite brew method to use for a flash brewed iced coffee.
Need we mention the classic reasons the Hario V60 is a specialty coffee industry favorite? We will anyways. The V60's conical shape allows for deeper layering of coffee grounds, and its spiral ridges and lack of flow restriction allow the user to pour water quickly for a delicate body, or slowly for a heavier flavor. You can easily modify and control the recipe on this brew method.
Like many specialty coffee professionals, we simply love the delicate cup of coffee the V60 makes; we find it perfect for finding tasting notes in new coffees. And we find this Deep Sea Green version of the Hario V60 to be the perfect bright color to bring a splash of joy to any coffee routine!
