Coffee Spotlight: Colombia Lulo Wonka Wonka
Let’s talk about one of our most popular co-ferments ever in this week’s coffee spotlight: the Lulo Wonka Wonka!
Lulo is a native Colombian citrus fruit, and it’s used to amp up the already beautiful Caturra coffee from Jairo Arcila’s farm.
We source this unique coffee from Jairo Arcila: at Finca Santa Monica, Jairo Arcila is a third-generation coffee grower from Quindio, Colombia. He now works with his two children; together they produce incredibly high quality coffees, continually learning and improving in order to be excellent. Jairo and his team have been experimenting with co-fermenting coffee with various fruit and yeast strains for the last several years. The Lulo co-ferment is one of their craziest and one of the best examples of what Finca Santa Monica can produce.
In the cup you’ll get guava, passionfruit and other tropical fruit notes with candied bubblegum and an absolute never ending gobstopper of flavor, if Willy Wonka made coffee this would be it…..just bonkers.
This co-ferment is insane! If you like fruit-forward, flavor-packed, bright coffees this one is for you! Order your bag today: anytime we have this coffee it sells out lightning fast.
